HyeFighter Karen Darabedyan in Action At Shark Fights 13 on September 11th in Texas against Marcus Hicks

The biggest card in Shark Fights history just got some additional starpower.

After already announcing four fights for the Sept. 11’s main card, the Texas-based promotion unveiled a near-complete 10-fight lineup that includes a surprisingly deep preliminary card.

Notable additions include Bellator heavyweight Dave Herman (16-2) vs. Aaron Rosa (14-3), WEC vets Karen Darabedyan (9-3) vs. Marcus Hicks (9-3), and UFC vet Pete Spratt (21-17) vs. Eric Davila (17-10).

Additionally, though not part of the official announcement, Shark Fights president Brent Medley today told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio) that the fight between Shark Fights featherweight champ Douglas Evans (10-6) and World Victory Road vet Ronnie Mann (17-2-1) will, in fact, be for the title.

Shark Fights 13 takes place Sept. 11 at the Amarillo Civic Center in Texas. Medley said broadcast plans for the event will be announced early next week.

Previously announced main-card fights include light-heavyweight champ Trevor Prangley (22-6-1) vs. Keith Jardine (15-8-1) in a non-title fight, former UFC light heavyweights Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (9-6) vs. Houston Alexander (10-6), middleweight notables Drew McFredries (8-6) vs. Joey Villasanor (27-7), and Paul Daley (24-9-2) vs. TBA (though Medley said a rumored bout with Josh Burkman is not currently on the docket). A fifth main-card bout will be announced soon.

Additionally, recent UFC welterweight Brock Larson (28-4) fights on the preliminary card, though an opponent has not been named.

The full card includes:

  • Champ Trevor Prangley vs. Keith Jardine (light-heavyweight non-title fight)
  • Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou vs. Houston Alexander
  • Paul Daley vs. TBA
