Fighting and Entertainment Group’s (FEG) K-1 promotion blew up the Ryogoku Kokugikan earlier this morning (Nov. 8) featuring its “World Max 2010 Finals” in Tokyo, Japan.
In the final fight of the evening, reigning champion HyeFighter Giorgio Petrosyan defeated Yoshihiro Sato to claim his 2nd MAX GP crown. Petrosyan was dominant throughout the tournament, combining his traditional technical mastery with a willingness to go punch for punch when needed.
Early reports are praising Petrosyan’s semi-final encounter with Mike Zambidis, calling it the fight of the night and Petrosyan’s stiffest test yet in K-1. Petrosyan won 3 fights to win the tournament title, quarter finals against ALbert Kraus, semi finals against Mike Zambidi and Yoshihiro Sato in the finals. Amazing work for one night!!!!
Fellow HyeFighter Gago Drago was also on in the tournament and advanced to the Semi Finals by defeating Mohamed Khamal, but fell short against the ultimate finalist Yoshihiro Sato, who was in turn defeated by Petrosyan. All in all it was a great outing for our HyeFIghters from Holland and Italy!!!
