HyeFighter Vanes Martirosyan in Montreal

Undefeated WBO #1 junior middleweight HyeFighter Vanes “The Nightmare” Martirosyan (28-0, 17 KOs) has arrived in Montreal, Canada, with his coach Edmond Tarverdyan and corner man George Bastermajyan. The 2004 U.S. Olympian is set to face Bladimir Hernandez (18-4, 16 KOs) on Saturday in a fight on the Lucian Bute-Brian Magee undercard at the Bell Centre. Martirosyan has been out of the ring since June of last year and can’t wait to step back inside the squared circle, “It’s been a long time coming and I can’t wait to get back in the ring. On Saturday I am looking to make a statement.” Following this fight Martirosyan already scheduled to return April 23rd versus Saul Roman (34-8, 29KOs) for the WBC junior middleweight silver belt. With a win there, and he hopes to land a fight versus one of the major players in the division.
