This Saturday, a pair of HyeFighters (MMA) mixed martial artists will enter the cage in Burbank, California in a promotion titled “Valley Invasion.”
Former UFC “The Ultimate Fighter” contender Sevak “The Silverback” Magakian (8-3), who has recovered from a two-year injury, will make his long-awaited return to the cage against Dave Gardner in the scheduled main event.
Haik Tsaturyan (2-0) will also return to the cage first his first fight in 16 months against Octavio Morales, a gritty 13-year veteran, in a co-feature.
“Morales is a tough fighter but I know I have better skills,” said Tsaturyan, who has been training extensively since he last fought in June 2010. “I don’t think ring rust will be an issue because I never stop training. I’m always sparring. I believe that this long period of not fighting made me a way better fighter and the results will show on Saturday.”
“Valley Invasion” will take place at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel and Convention Center starting at 3 p.m. The promotion is presented by former Brazilian jiu jitsu world champion and UFC veteran Alberto Crane’s National Fight Alliance Mixed Martial Arts (NFFMA).
Weigh-ins will take place Friday at 12 a.m. at the Hooters in Burbank, located on 600 N. First St. Hooters will also be sponsoring a buffet for attendees.
Tickets for Saturday range from $40 to $100. For more information, visit NFAMMA.com.
