The holiday season is all about giving – and that’s exactly what some of biggest Armenian names, collectively known as the HyeFighters, in the sports of boxing and mixed martial arts will be doing as they cap off the calendar year in fighting style.

Over the course of the next month, UFC’s Manny Gamburyan, Strikeforce’s Gegard Mousasi and boxers Vic Darchinyan and David Lemieux will be just some of the participants in fights held throughout Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego, Canada, Germany and Spain.

Check out the full schedule of fights below:

DECEMBER 2 (Boxing): Gabriel Tolmajyan (11-1-1, 3 KOs) will face the toughest test of his young career when he takes on Colombian Daulis Prescott (23-0, 17 KOs) at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California.

Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased here.

DECEMBER 2 (Boxing): Light welterweight Roman “Junito” Vardanyan (1-0-1) will be fighting Cosimo Borgo, who’ll be making his pro debut at the Pabellon Municipal in Spain. The 18 year-old Vardanyan was born in Yerevan and fights out of Valencia, Spain.

DECEMBER 2 (MMA): Two-time Bellator tournament competitor Georgi Karakhanyan (16-3-1) will take on former champion Isaac DeJesus (9-3) for a vacant 145-pound featherweight title. The 26-year-old Karakhanyan, who trains out of Millennia MMA, one of California’s mixed martial arts schools, is looking to pick up his third victory since April.

The fight will take place at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California under the promotion titled TPF 11 – Redemption, and can be viewed live on Sherdog.com.

DECEMBER 3 (BOXING): Vic Darchinyan will be headlining a triad of Armenian boxers when he faces off against Anselmo Moreno for the WBA Bantamweight Super Championship December 3 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Darchinyan’s fight will be televised as a co-feature on Showtime. Tickets are at priced at $25, $50. $100 and $150 and are on sale at all Ticketmaster locations, online at ticketmaster.com, via charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000, the Honda Center Box Office, or in Glendale/Burbank area by contacting us.

DECEMBER 10 (Boxing): Canadian-Armenian David Lemieux (25-1-1, 24 KOs) will look to rebound off of his first career loss when he takes on Joachim Alcine (32-2-1, 19 KOs) for the WBC International Middleweight Title.

Lemieux’s corner stopped his ESPN televised fight in April against veteran Marco Antonio Rubio after he was knocked down in the seventh round, and failed to protect himself from a barrage of punches after he got up. At the time of the stoppage, Lemieux was comfortably ahead on all three judges scorecards.

“For my return I wanted a significant bout and I am happy about this opportunity. This time, if I need 12 rounds, I will be ready,” Lemieux said.

The 22 year-old Montreal-based Lemieux is currently ranked as the No. 3 middleweight by the WBC.

His fight against Alcine will take place in Quebec, Canada at the Bell Centre. For tickets, pricing and more information, click here.

DECEMBER 10 (Boxing): Harut Sahakyan, an undefeated (4-0) light middleweight, has a date set for Dec. 10 against Tony Harrison (4-0) of Detroit. The bout will take place at the ESPRIT arena in Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

DECEMBER 17 (MMA): Former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi (31-3-2) will return to the cage against Ovince St. Preux (5-0) at the Valley View Casino in San Diego.

Mousasi will be making his fifth appearance on the Strikeforce promotion. The fight will be televised as a co-feature on Showtime. Tickets start at $49, and can be purchased through Ticketmaster here.

DECEMBER 30 (MMA): Manny “The Anvil” Gamburyan (13-7) will be taking on Diego Nunes (16-2) in UFC 141 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Gamburyan will be making his seventh appearance in UFC, and will be looking to regain his form after losing his previous two fights. Nunes will be looking to rebound from a defeat himself from another Armenian – Kenny Florian – in the UFC 131 held in June.

UFC 141 can be ordered on pay-per view and tickets, starting at $85, can be purchased through Ticketmaster here.
